Survey done! I might have spent more than 2 minutes answering questions 😁

Same, Aris. 😂 All joking aside, it was a nice opportunity to reflect on my rucking (and health) journey.

Exactly! It’s been a fun time in this community and seeing how my fitness goals/interests have shifted.

Many thanks for filling out the >2-minute survey, you two! :)

I started with water as my weight and never moved on. I use this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09477RTJP?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title. It goes up to 20lbs. It is easy to change the weight and easy to travel with. It met all my rucking needs and I just never switched to weighted plates.

Thanks for sharing, Anamaria! I have an upcoming trip and this looks like a great option for travel.

Sounds like an exciting project!! Can’t wait to hear more. Also, did I hear a rumor that you’re releasing a bag with GoRuck? Because there’s space for it on my Christmas list, if it’s true.

It's a collab between me, Huckberry, and GORUCK. It should drop in early January.

Awesome, gift to myself then. Thank you!!

Big fan of attaching my dog’s leash to the shoulder strap too. It’s one of those retractable ones & she feels untethered as I can dole out the line as necessary. Also I have room for dog treats, collapsible bowl & water in the bag. She’s terrible at running so rucking w her has nearly replaced my runs.

Is "rucking" limited to having all weight on the back? I like using a plate carrier more often, which allows me the ability to add on even more weight in a true ruck if I ever feel like being a super tool or trying to beat the 3-hour limit on a 12-mile ruck challenge.

Tip number two covered one of my answers in the survey. Should have read this first. haha

As for dog leashes, I have discovered attaching them to a chest rig to be pretty good too. I wear a chest bag (you see a lot of trout fishers and hunters wear them for tools or binos) that I keep some essentials in when I ruck near my home. Super convenient way to carry any might-need items, cell phones or gps, or high-kinetic devices for black bears or any other aggressive creatures that might be out and about in nature.

I think you needed 6 rucking tips. #6 Do shoulder strengthening exercises to build up weight support endurance and invest in a ruck bag with a waist belt. Moving some of the weight to your waist eases the stress on your shoulders. Good message on the tips!Ruckers rock the walk!

Michael, when will this project be completed by?

Sorry about the question. I am the one who wrote about not being able to walk far and I use a seated bicycle at home. I am 70 years old with bad knees. Do I just add more tension to my cycle? Thanks, Berta
