AMA December '25
My 2026 goals, living with ADHD, and the best life hack I know
It’s the last Friday of the month, so it’s time for our Q&A.
As a reminder, in our last AMA, I polled everyone to ask whether you’d prefer these AMAs delivered as video, audio, or text.
Text won, so I’ve written answers to all the questions.
For the listeners out there, I’ve also uploaded audio of myself answering the questions off the cuff.
Here are our questions this month:
Michael, what are your goals for 2026?
What’s the most game-changing life hack that you’ve implemented?
Are you going to get a dog in 2026? Long live Stockton!
How do you do research for your writing?
How do you deal with negative and pessimistic people?
How do you keep a balance on your screen time? We can’t live without them, and we can’t live with them...
Do you have recommendations on how to live the 2% lifestyle with ADHD? (The answer is a larger lesson on what we get wrong about mental “disorders.”)
What’s the most impactful piece of research you consumed in 2025?
How do you think about balancing flexibility and mobility with building strength and endurance?
Is it possible to nudge friends and family to eat healthier and exercise more? How do you approach those convos in a non-judgmental way?
I’ve been finding that minimizing notifications and data from my life is helping me live more in the present. I like my Garmin, but it’s silly to be worried about my “training readiness” over the holiday. Which made me think… Do tracker metrics actually help us?
You meet someone for the first time... what’s your favorite question to ask to get to know them or get a conversation going?
Let’s roll. Thanks for the questions and the great year on Two Percent.
