Wow she’s a quote machine. “Nature is a teacher” was great. As was “I'm still just here walking uphill slowly.” Really great perspective. Very much appreciated this Q&A. You’re not likely reading this but I hope you’re doing well out there!
Yes!! It's a belief that any person with the right training and experience can do it, even if you look around and others doing it don't look anything like you... Badass! Ordering the book now 👍🏻
Agreed. I could not really put my finger on it, but what Melissa said resonated. It needs to be the just right group of women for it to work, and that’s rare.
Fabulous interview - you created the space for Melissa to shine. She is such an accomplished communicator ! Loved her encouragement for people to write their memoir. Can’t wait to read the book. I felt very tearful at the end of the interview. Couldn’t tell you why? Thank you Michael and Melissa!
The idea that one person can make the difference for someone struggling: yes! I’ve found that to be true over and over again. This is why relationships, communities, mentorship is so important. Our young people need proximity to invested people to find that one person they need to lift them up.

Ooh, p.s. @Melissa, I don't love all female group stuff, either, ha

My favorite interview yet! I'm looking forward to reading Melissa's book.
