The Leadville Trail 100 (commonly called "Leadville 100") is pronounced like this:
Leadville: "LEAD-vil" (rhymes with "dead-ville")
The first syllable sounds like the metal "lead"
The second syllable is simply "ville"
The race takes place in Leadville, Colorado, which sits at over 10,000 feet elevation in the Rocky Mountains. It's one of the most famous ultramarathons in the world - a brutal 100-mile trail run through high-altitude mountain terrain.
The town name comes from the lead mining that originally brought settlers to the area in the 1800s, though it later became famous for silver mining as well.
So I've been taking a ketone supplement for about a year or so, at the advice of my amazingly smart GF. The purpose is to curb my arthritis. Yes, it makes me a little snappier in the brain, curb the "damn I'm hungry!" feeling, as I'm in and out of restaurants all day on the Vegas strip. But with my arthritis, it is night and day. It keeps that inflammation at bay and I'm able to walk with minimum to no pain. If you suffer from arthritis give it a go. Well that's my 2 cents at 2 %. Cheers!
Yet, we were taught that protein is what gives you the feeling of satiety. And the same thing can be accomplished with a protein shake (w/o deviating too far from your fasted state)
Great analysis and helpful recommendations/ summary. Appreciate the article!
Absolutely outrageous how expensive these supplements are considering we have marketing "be 1% better"
Good deal, one less thing I need to spend money on… :-)
Thanks, very informative post!

That is an awesome little town. I was able to complete that 100 mile race in the mountains of Leadville in 2010 and claim my 100 mile belt buckle.

I take the Ketone-IQ, 10 grams of ketones shot and I always get a noticeable boost in energy and alertness.
Excellent! Exactly the kind of content that makes Two Percent valuable.
Nobody talked about how exogenous ketones can help with fasting, they really do help curb your appetite
