Great interview with Nick Norwitz! I subscribe to him on Substack, and he puts out phenomenal content, very nuanced and thoughtful, addressing a lot of topics that the old school medical community is unwilling or unable to address. And he thoroughly backs up his content with solid research studies. That said, great job reining him in 😀. Reading his Substack content allows me to take it in at a pace that my brain can digest it, but with him moving at a speaking pace, it was a bit more challenging to process - but so great to hear a scientific conversation with someone so passionate and competent on the topic. And, it is quite refreshing for us to be reminded that science is in our everyday lives and a powerful tool we can all use.

Great conversation with George Kamel! Between you and all of Ramsey's personalities, I've gotten out of debt and am so much healthier- both physically and mentally.

Awesome. Great work. People highly undervalue the health benefits of getting out of debt. When stress goes down, many health markers improve.

Listening to you and George talk about Costco was amazing! My husband works in one of the Lynnwood, WA stores and has been with them for over 30+ years. He is in the back doing the returns and the stories he comes home with are hilarious. Also Costco employees are just as bad if not worse at the return policy. The cost though can not be beat and since he is there 5 days a week he can leave with only purchasing a few items that are needed, haha. The problem is since he works in the returns he sees the discounted price so is asking if we need more towels and things since they are marked down so low. Also when I go into the store I tend to get more since I see things that I didn't know they had.

I bet your husband has so many fantastic stories.

If sardines can make you warmer in cold weather, I wonder if there are foods that can make you cooler in warm weather. 🤔

Feeling pretty smug about eating my Costco-acquired sardines when I saw the notification for this episode! 😂 ("Wild Planet Wild Pacific Sardines in Extra Virgin Olive Oil" - they are very good!) And if anyone is looking for tinned fish inspiration, check out the CannedSardines subreddit.

I seriously worry if Sardines are becoming the next “superfood”

Sardines are not just small fish — they are a crucial food source for entire marine ecosystems.

When we start industrially harvesting the lower levels of the food chain for our omega-3 optimization, that energy is missing somewhere else: for fish, seabirds, and marine mammals.

Please also think about the ecological consequences of our lifestyles — not just the health benefits. There is Omega3 available that is made directly from Algae --

Thanks for the Costco episode.

I’m a huge fan of that warehouse too.

How to save money and stick to your list for a quick trip to Costco?

I go in with a bag or two (no cart) and set a timer w a goal to only be in for 10 minutes.

I get in and out fast, I’m limited by my “capacity”, and I get a bonus mini carry-workout in.

Sardines eaten by the ton would be a bit rough. Kipper snacks! Now those are tasty! I wonder if they are a good sub nutritionally

I have to say, the first thing I thought when I read the title was “oh boy, 1000 sardines sounds like a sure way to raise arsenic levels in your body”.

I'm rather sure Nick tracked that. He didn't mention it. I can ask to verify.
